CAVISA Oil, Lda. handles your personal data with care and only for what is necessary. This policy explains what data we collect through the website cavisaoil.co, why, how long we keep it and how you can exercise your rights.

1. Who we are and who processes your data

The controller of your personal data is CAVISA Oil, Lda., tax number (NIF) 5417009083, headquartered at Rua Fernão de Sousa, Bloco B, 1.º Andar, Condomínio Bengo, Bairro Vila Alice, Luanda, Angola. CAVISA Oil Sucursal, in Lisbon, at Rua Mário Castrim n.º 12B, Quinta das Conchas, Lumiar, 1750-447 Lisbon, processes data on the same terms.

This policy applies to the website cavisaoil.co and to any contact you have with us through it: the contact form, applications, the Whistleblowing Line and the company's email addresses.

We process data in accordance with Law No. 22/11 of 17 June (Personal Data Protection Law) of Angola and, where applicable, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

2. What data we collect, why and on what basis

We ask for personal data only when it is necessary to provide you with a service or to respond to a request, and we always tell you why.

You may decline to provide your data. In that case, we may be unable to respond to your request or assess your application.

3. Who we share data with

We do not sell or disclose your personal data. We only share it with:

  • Service providers who help us run the website and communications, such as the Wix platform, which hosts the site, and email services. They act only on our instructions.

  • Authorities, when required by law.

  • Entities of the same group, between the Luanda headquarters and the Lisbon branch, to the extent necessary to handle your request.

 

Some providers may process data outside Angola and the European Union. In those cases, we require adequate safeguards for data protection, in accordance with the applicable law.

4. How long we keep data

We keep data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. The retention periods are:

24 months, unless the applicant asks for deletion earlier

The time needed to investigate and decide, and as required by law

According to the duration of each cookie, at most 13 months

When the period ends, we delete the data or make it anonymous.

5. Your rights

You may, at any time:

  • access the data we hold about you;

  • request the correction or updating of incorrect data;

  • request the deletion of data when it is no longer necessary;

  • object to the processing or request its restriction;

  • withdraw any consent you have given, without affecting processing already carried out;

  • request data portability, where the GDPR applies.

 

To exercise a right, write to info@cavisaoil.com. We reply within the legal time limit.

 

If you consider that we are not handling your data correctly, you may lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Agency (APD, Agência de Protecção de Dados) in Angola, or with the National Data Protection Commission (CNPD, Comissão Nacional de Protecção de Dados) in Portugal.

6. Security, cookies and external links

Security. We protect data against loss, theft and unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use or alteration, with appropriate technical and organisational measures. Access is limited to those who need it for their work. Reports are handled confidentially and may be anonymous.

 

Cookies. The website uses cookies to function and to collect visit statistics. Necessary cookies are always used. You can manage or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings and, when the website shows a cookie notice, choose the ones you accept there. We do not use behavioural advertising cookies.

External links. The website links to third-party sites, such as our pages on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn and the Complaints Book. We do not control their content or their privacy policies.

 

Minors. The website is not intended for people under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.

7. Changes and contacts

We may update this policy. The date of the last update is 23 October 2026 and the version in force is always available on the website. When changes are significant, we will notify you through the website.
